History: He was found in Limenaria on the street. A volunteer brought him to the sanctuary. He was very thin.
Now Beautyis looking a lot better. Isn't he beautifull! We hope so much he will get a good and happy life.
We want him to place somewhere where he has the space to run and play around.
Extra: middle-large sized dog. He is castrated

Rudi

Name: Rudi
Gender: male
Breed: hunting dog mix
Age: 4 years old
History: Rudi was living all by himself on the streets of Limenaria. After the tourist season there was no food for him any more and so he was very lucky that he was brought to the sanctuary. He is a very nice , beautiful and serious, middle large, dog that likes to interact with other dogs.

Kostaki

 Name: Kostaki
Gender: male
Breed: Mix
History: Kostaki was found in Limenas. He was a little pup with no chance to survive. He was lucky that a car did not hit him. Now he is living in the sanctuary.
We really hope someone is willing to offer him a good home because it is such a good and sweet animal.

Lea

Name: Lea
Age: 1 year old
Gender: femail
Breed: mix
History: She was found as a stray on the beach of Skala Potamia
Extra: she is not sterilized. Mirre is a very sweet happy dog. She is willing to learn and likes to play.

Torny

Name: Torny

Age: 3 years old

Gender: female

Breed: huntingdog-Mix

History: she is an ex-chain dog. She was found with a chain on her neck on the road of Rachoni

Character: She is a super sweet and tender dog that is very smart and willing to please.

Extra: she is sterilized. Femke is a middle-large sized dog.

Loretta

Name: Loretta
Age: 3-4 years
Breed: huntingdog- mix
Gender: female
Extra: she is not sterilized yet
History: Loretta was brought to the sanctuary by a girl from Bulgaria. She Said she could not take care for her anymore.
Now Loretta is waiting for a new family to spend her life with.
We hope Loretta can spend the cold winter periodes soon in a nice warm family.

Ginger

Name: Ginger
Age: 4 years old
Gender: male
Breed: mix
History: Ginger was found in Prinos where he tried to search his daily food at tourist areas.
He is a very happy dog that likes to play with other dogs.
We woudl like if he is places in a family that has another dog so he can continue to interact with a new friend.

Name: principus ( first emperor in Second Civilian War)
Age: 4 years old
Gender: male
History: Principus was found by Norwegian tourists. He was a chain dog left alone with no water and food. He had an eye problem and couldn't see properly. These tourist were willing to pay a very expensive eye operation. Because of this he now has the abiluty to see and enjoying his favorite game. Prncipus likes very much playing with a bal. He hopes to find a very playfull family.
Character: Principus is a very good and  kind-hearted dog. He is a true friend. Principus likes to put his front legs against you and to give his toy so he can play. His new owner probably needs to teach him  to stay on the ground.

Sylvester

Name: Sylvester
Gender: male
Age: 1 year old
History: He was found as a stray on Thassos Island with his mother and his brothers and sisters. They had no food to survive. These dogs had a lot of luck to be brought to the sanctuary.
Character: Syvester is a very calm and positive dog

Dignity

Name: Dignity
Age: 4 years old
Gender: male
Breed: Dignity is a small sized dog
History: Dignity is a little unfortunate. He was brought by the neighbours of his previous owners. Dignity has a high pitched voice and was disturbing people living around him. His previous owners did not take the trouble to get him back home and so he lives at the sanctuary now..Barking..not understanding why he was dropped...and hoping.to find a new family

Henry

Name:Henry
Gender: Male
Age: 4 
History: He was found in Kavala and brought to the Island by a tourist. The vet looked at him and hoped one day he would be placed somewhere. That's why the vet brought him to the sanctuary in Rachoni.

Cissy

                                                     Name: Cissy 
Gender: Female
Age: 2-3 years old
History:  She was found close to the sanctuary, left by people who didn't want her anymore. Cissy was lucky that Suzanne found her and gave her a place to stay at the Gingerbread Sanctuary. Shortly after that she gave birth to her 3 pups. Untill now Cissy has been waiting for the family that is willing to take her home.
Character: Cissy is a very caring and tender dog. Willing to please.

Jip

Name: Jip
Age: 3-4 years old
Gender: female
History: She was found in Limenaria.
Character: When I took this picture of Jip, she was hoping to sell herself by looking deeply into my eyes for a long time. An excellent way to take some good pictures, but she hasn't reached her goal yet. She is still living at the sanctuary hoping to be adopted. Jip is very calm and sweet.

Lady

History:  She was brought, with her 3 pups, to the sanctuary by Greek people who didn't want to take care for her anymore.

Lara

Name: Lara

Age: ? 2-3?

Gender: female

Breed: Huntingdog.

About: Lara is a very tender and sweet dog. She is used to travelling by car and can get along with other dogs very well. I've never seen a dog as sweet and tender as Lara.

History: Lara was found in a cage beside the road. The former owner was not taking care of her porperly. That's why we found her in a terrible condition. Lara was very skinny and in great need of help. She did not have any food or water in her cage and a German tourist heard her crying all night long.

Extra: We want Lara to find a good family who has the time and space to help her getting a new life. We hope she will find a place where she can visit the forest several times per month.

Jenny

Name: Jenny   

Gender: female

Age: Jenny  is over 6 months old and will not grow much bigger.

History: Jenny was found as a pup with her mother Bonito. The two dogs were rescued from a terrible place in Limenaria. Bonito was a chain dog.

Tyfoon

Background: She was found in Skala Prinos at a fish farm looking for food.

Shajana

Age: 5 years old

Gender: Female

Background: Shajana was found tied up in a petrol station.

Extra: she is sterilized. Shajana has two differend colloured eyes.

Casper

Name: Casper

Age: 3-4 years old

Background: Caspert was found in Kavala and was brought to the vet on Thassos in Limenaria. He brought him to the sanctuary hoping one day he would find a family to stay with. Casper was so happy to get some food and attention after spending so much time alone on the streets in the centre of Kavala. Casper maybe does not have very special looks but the family who gives him a chance to show his character will get a true friend.
